To begin 2024 the orchestra will present a program of music which brings back memories of childhood for the orchestra and audiences, while creating new ones for the younger members of the audience.

In this short, 60 minute concert, you will enjoy “Paddington Bear’s First Concert”, narrated by Ed LeBrocq, which follows the story of Paddington’s arrival in London, along with other musical favourites.

The concert will also feature 10 year old Martin Sun, winner of the 2023 Queensland Piano Competition, performing the first movement of Kabalevsky’s “Concerto no.3”.

Our World

In a concert which celebrates our connections to the environment, the orchestra will explore music which champions aspects of the world around us. During this stunning soundscape, we invite you to close your eyes and envisage yourself immersed in nature.

Origins

10 November, 3pm, Sunshine Coast
17 November, 3pm, Brisbane City Hall

Conductor: Antoni Bonetti

For our final concert of the year, we are exploring the enduring connections many of our members have to their country of origin. This proms style concert will seek to feature music that speaks to those connections and the musical traditions in those countries. We encourage the audience to bring along their national flags to wave as we celebrate the multi-cultural nature of our community.
